AI and the future of jobs

Many fears have been expressed that the development of AI will replace human jobs.

But it is likely that it will also give rise to new pones.

And there are some jobs that will always need the human touch.

For example, a newspaper recently advertised for an ““AI-powered reporter” to work with AI to help write news articles.  However, the reporter’s role included the requirement that content produced meets legal and ethical standards.

That is clearly not something that can be left to an automated tool.

In fact, this could also generate more work in both the legal and HR professions on matters from copyright law to employment law and beyond.

Customer services is also likely to be safe from automation since it inevitably needs human skills to provide the service.
